Another weather strike weekend, which resulted in tropical activity. We now have Tropical Storm Nana (who is not really much of a threat, destined to most likely remain a fish, as she journeys through the Central Atlantic), and it is looking like we could soon have Omar shortly in the Caribbean Sea, as a decent amount of organized convection has gathered there. Omar, if he forms, is likely to drift to the northeast after cutting across the islands. Omar has an impressive look, trending to a low pattern of movement, and if the westerly shear backs off, he could become a big problem for the islands... not that his rain and winds aren't already causing problems.
Aside from that, I got to play with some fun clouds this weekend. Swelling cumulus abound. It was fun to drive under the base of one (no rotation, and thankfully, I wasn't sucked up into the inflow). My wonderful gtb was so sweet... first, we went to see "Fireproof", which as gtb's mother put it is a must see for anyone who is married, engaged to be married or plans to ever be married. The movie was made by the same Albany, GA church that created "Facing the Giants", another must see! Then, we rushed to the house to grab my camera to shoot some amazing clouds. Awesomenewness! Unfortunately, the pics didn't come out as well as I had hoped. It is a far cry from the stunningly beautiful vision we were blessed with firsthand. The pics were taken Friday through Sunday, so this is a compilation of the weekend... even the ragweed.See, beautiful. God is amazing.
Speaking of God... I am undergoing a procedure on my back today that has me a little nervous. I would much appreciate prayers.
Speaking of prayers, I want to share a post that my friend Tammy made last week. She offers some encouragement for those suffering... check it out here.
Have a lovely day!
