With road closures extensive in Lowndes County, Georgia, we are looking at our plan of attack for our trip home and for returning my wonderful groom's children to their mother who lives on the opposite side of many bridges. It looks like my fabulous new in-laws will be staying with us, as their neighborhood has been evacuated and the water is unusable, and most likely the power has been cut off.
DOT Road Closures and Openings
Up here in Atlanta though, we had a graupel storm... (graupel is snow pellets). The kids had a blast playing in the brief graupel, snow pellet storm, as the tiny pellets of snow bounced off their heads, drenching them as it melted. Very cool, even if I'm not a fan. The kids had a blast playing in the "snow".Have a great day!!

You old graupel heads! :)
ReplyDeleteThere was grapple EVERYWHERE! And I've never had the pleasure of seeing it.
ReplyDeleteI do believe the weather has gone nationally nuts! 80 in the northeast, 30 in Texas - and that blizzard in Kansas last week? Unbelievable!
gr@&p#l!!!
ReplyDeleteSomebody graupled me!!! ;-)
ReplyDeleteI think it's abit freakish to have that kind of nonesense well into April now. Mother nature is abit loony in 2009.
Oh, and not to make too much fun of you snowbirds down there, but feel free to come out here to the TX PH when the next blizzard comes a callin' ;-)
We had a winter blast here in Ohio too...
