Perfect weekend weather! Finally!!!

Gosh, I have so much going on... and my keyboard tray isn't helping, but I wanted to post a few pics from our picnic at the lake this weekend. We couldn't have hand-picked better weather for the day... It was the first day I had no rainfall in weeks (not complaining, our yard looks fantastic, even having had a broken irrigation system, which is all better now... thanks, wonderful groom!) It was gorgeous. The temperature was just right, plenty warm for a lake party, not so warm that it was unbearable for those not partaking of the lake-offered refreshment. Blue skies with dancing fair weather cumulus clouds offered a lovely backdrop for the event. The kids had a wonderful time playing in the water and jumping off the dock. An arbitrary lake dog hung out with us, begging anyone to play fetch with her. People brought their beautiful children and grandchildren. It was wonderful!Doesn't she have amazing eyes...?! We had some great food and social time.... and then someone brought out the wave runner jet ski. The owners took turns riding the kids around, but they quickly tired of that... no worries, my wonderful groom and I took up the slack and took the rest of the interested children out on the lake. We had a blast and those puppies will FLY! We caught a few waves that literally had us flying...Good times. Looks like we weren't the only ones having a good time.Don't believe I've ever seen that before.

Aside from that, Happy Atlantic Basin Hurricane Season 2009... That's right, today is the first day... and wouldn't you know it... Fortunately, weather enthusiasts can occupy their time and attention with a little severe weather action out west...Have a great day!

  1. What a great day! My sister just sold her house on the lake in Maine. Which lake did you go to?
