Wisconsin Day 3

Happy Sky Watch Friday!! It's post time!!! (Please visit our host, Tom's blog to participate in Sky Watch Fridays. So much fun!!! I highly recommend it!) Today's Sky Watch Friday Shot is a shot at my sky yesterday... Bf and I had a splendid time exploring the Green Bay area (Lambeau Field for bf's visiting pleasure) and the peninsula northeast of there... all of which areas have tons of barns, each with its own silo... bottom line for now, we caught a spectacular view of the sunset. This is a pic of the sunset over Fish Creek. It was truly breath-taking. I have tons of pics, which I will load later, but I am out of time on the wifi now... just know that it was a wonderful adventure.

OK, so we started out on our way to Green Bay, stopping frequently along the way to capture some of the great scenery. It was so interesting to see silos with EVERY barn. We have silos in South Georgia, but not with EVERY barn. ... and then, there were the cows (I say they were larger than those in my neck of the woods, but bf disagrees). They were gigantic!!! ... then, we FINALLY made it to Lambeau Field, which was our Green Bay destination, which bf was so excited about, even if we didn't decide to take the tour, which would have allowed us the opportunity to see the field. It was beautiful inside, and we had the great opportunity to pretend to be Cheeseheads (since NEITHER of us are!! Let's go Pats!!!) ...of course, my highlight of that portion of the trip was... Whaaat? (tee hee) Well, there was this really cool sign before the bridge over the river...... then, we were off to see the peninsula, with the goal of seeing sunset... stopping FREQUENTLY along the way up the western side of the Lake Michigan peninsula (Sturgeon Bay, Egg Harbor... is that right? and ultimately Fish Creek, where we watched the magnificent sunset) for the sake of photographable scenes. (tee hee)(tee hee... again)

Then, we found a wonderful spot on a pier where we could sit and watch the sunset, but we decided to check the area out... you know, explore in true Dew fashion. You know, I should say here that the landscaping up here has been amazing. You can tell these folks have a true appreciation for their growing season, and they LOVE flowers. What a coincidence, so do I!!! Then, it was sunset time... ... and that's all there was to Day 3.Toodles,
~Dewdrop

  14. Thanks to you and others, I get a big lift out of trying to outdo myself and post things that may surprise some and make others laugh a bit and most of all make lots of people aware of things that might not know much about.

When somebody actually takes the time to write a comment about my work and what I do, that to me is the biggest gift a person can give another. It is a smile on greeting, it is a welcome handshake, and it gives me and my family some hope that the dementia farm is still down the road.

You, yourself, are an inspiration to me. I come to say, thanks for taking the time to photograph things of interest and great beauty. Without that, blogging would be about as exciting as a wart on the end of my nose.

And rest assured, when you do visit, I will always try to visit your blog, in return, and leave a comment on your blog. I might not think your photography is ready for the big masterpiece award, but it surely got my attention.

    Sincerely,

    Abraham Lincoln

  23. You have to just do it. Make a plan and make it happen. It's as easy as that. Bf and I have plans now to go up to North Carolina at the end of July. I am thrilled. It's a waterfall trip!!! I LOVE waterfalls!
