Crazy weather...

I shouldn't complain, but here it comes anyhow... anyone else aggravated with the wishy-washy weather? We go from record low temps one week (which, don't get me wrong-- I hate!) to record high temps the following week (and of course, being a non-fan of the record low, cold temps, I love, but sheesh...) Gosh, Ma Nature, this is sickness weather. Wednesday and Thursday seem to be the re-introduction of the secondary severe weather... It's crazy, we have gone from Summer, to a glimpse of Fall, to Winter and back to SUMMER?! Good grief.

Aside from that, I want to brag on my friend Scotty K. Check him out at http://www.scottyk.com/. Anyways, he is a sought after comedian friend of my wonderful gtb's and I, who has traveled all over the world with his hysterically hilarious comedy act. He invited us to be guests of his show, while he was in the area, and we had a truly great time... His comedy routine truly is a riot, but one of the coolest things (besides his Daughtry bit-- did I mention Chris Daughtry touched my hand?!) was that his act involved a "storm victim". You know the type... it's the folks that these news crews tend to find after a tornado sweeps through a mobile home park to get to describe what happened. The picture should do my description adequate justice. You'll have to check out his comedy act to get the full effect. I highly recommend it. Tell him your favorite storm chaser sent you. I did get the great opportunity to experience a sun pillar-like crepusculars on the way home... that was pretty awesome, too!
Since the weather is a particularly indecisive, and there is absolutely nothing interesting to talk about except perhaps the moderate shot we have at post-season (I don't know what I was thinking... the season goes to November 30... duh.) tropical development in the western Caribbean. I will leave you with this cute little weather related email forward from a friend...

A little girl walked to and from school daily. One day, the weather was looking questionable and clouds began to develop, as she made her daily trek to the elementary school. As the afternoon progressed, the winds whipped up, and lightning started to flash.

The mother of the little girl felt concerned that her daughter would be frightened as she walked home from school, and she feared the electrical storm might harm her child. Full of concern, the mother quickly got into her car and drove along the route to her child's school. As she did, she saw her little girl walking along At each flash of lightning, the child would stop, look up, and smile. Another and another flash of lighting followed quickly and with each, the little girl would look at the streak of light and smile.

When the mother's car drew up beside the child, she lowered the window and called to her 'What are you doing?'

The child answered, 'I am trying to look pretty because God keeps taking my picture.'
Awesome!

I should have mentioned... my wonderful gtb and I went to my dear son and his wonderful gf's Halloween costume party. Can you guess who I was? He was my bodyguard! lol The elmo-child is just an arbitrary Trick-or-Treater, just one that happened to be cute as a button.Happy Monday!

  1. Post-season tropical development?

Unless it takes 27 or so days to develop, it is still in-season, right? Or did they change the season on me without me knowing?

    :P

Awwwwwww- love that email from your friend. What a wonderful way to think about it!

Glad that you had a great weekend Madam Governor. And yes, the media does seem to lean toward those 'victims'. And you know that if you live within 20 miles of it, you cringe every time. :D
