The heavens declare the glory of God;
the skies proclaim the work of his hands.

Saying it's a little chilly is a gross understatement!

Current Temperatures 6:45AM
Current Wind Chills 6:45AM

OK, so it feels like my toes are going to fall off, just to summarize. Fortunately Mini-Dew's really awesome school bus driver, in all her kindness, called this morning, to let us know that she would be driving through the neighborhood picking up riders from the front door so they would not have to turn into Mini-Dewdropcicles or full-sized Dewdropcicles in the case of parents who wait with them. What a relief! Unfortunately, she blew by our house without realizing it was one of her riders, so we had to chase her down... Oops. It was still awesome of her. I, of course, called to commend her to her boss for going above and beyond. It was funny, the receptionist was blown away by it... not used to calls complimenting the drivers, she said.

Really, the cold sweeping across the nation seems to be the prevailing story. The tropical season is dead in the water, still officially going, but there is nothing going on... We are facing unseasonably LOW temperatures, all the way down into Florida, colder than a lot of places up north have been having lately. That'll change, but sheesh. We don't want it. That's why we live down here!

Anyone with advice on getting the Microsoft Scanner and Camera Wizard to start working again after the XP 2 service pack has been installed, please let me know. I am so frustrated. It was working fine, and all of a sudden... nada. Ugh!

Have a lovely day!

  3. Please keep your bone-chilling air to yourselves. We have been enjoying 60's and 70's here in the Texas Panhandle for quite a long time now. :-) bwhahaha! You can laugh back at me when we are digging out from a foot of snow later this winter....but then, that would be kinda awesome! :-)

  6. Steve, Did I ever answer your techie question? It has to do with the Microsoft Scanner and Camera Wizard not working... They are reloading my system over the holiday.

    Can we laugh yet?

    Rick, don't even get me started.

    John, Thanks!
