The heavens declare the glory of God;
the skies proclaim the work of his hands.

It's the most hectic (yet still wonderful) time of the year!!!

Well, it looks like Ma Nature is working on an early Christmas present with a system moving in generating a potential for some severe weather in my neck of the woods for Wednesday/Thursday. The guys at the Storm Prediction Center (SPC) have not gone so far as to call it a slight risk for severe weather due to some inconsistencies in the models, but if it all pans out, it is not looking like it will likely be a typical south Georgia squall line event. This could be interesting to watch...

GUIDANCE INDICATES THAT THIS FEATURE COULD EVOLVE INTO A DEEPENING LOW/MID-LEVEL CYCLONE AS IT PROGRESSES TOWARD CENTRAL/EASTERN GULF COASTAL AREAS...POSSIBLY ACCOMPANIED BY SIGNIFICANT SURFACE CYCLOGENESIS ALONG A FRONT ADVANCING SOUTHEASTWARD INTO THE SOUTH ATLANTIC AND EASTERN GULF COAST STATES.

ANY APPRECIABLE SEVERE THUNDERSTORM THREAT IS EXPECTED TO BE TIED TO THE APPROACH OF THE RIO GRANDE VALLEY IMPULSE...AND HINGE ON STRONGER SURFACE CYCLONE DEVELOPMENT. IF THIS OCCURS...IT SEEMS MOST PROBABLE ACROSS PARTS OF THE FLORIDA PANHANDLE/NORTHERN FLORIDA INTO SOUTHERN GEORGIA...WEDNESDAY NIGHT INTO EARLY THURSDAY.
Of course... Thursday... otherwise a nighttime thing... I hate that. I am not one who likes to be awakened in the middle of the night, and certainly not to a severe weather warning, if I can't chase it! Fa la la la la, la la la la!

I had a jam packed full weekend this weekend. My wonderful gtb and I had planned to set up for a wedding, but by the time he got finished with work, they were finished for the night, so we instead went to "The Dark Knight". Wow, Heath Ledger plays the dark, dark character of the Joker in that film. It's hard to dissociate him as a person and him as the character and wonder if that role played a part in the early death of that aspiring actor. It was a thrilling movie with constant action and an interesting story-line, but gtb and I agreed that it could have ended about an hour sooner than it did. 2 1/2 hours is WAY too long for a comic book movie.

On Saturday, I woke up extremely early to run the crafts table at one of the many Breakfasts with Santa in town. I have operated that booth for about 8 years now. The kids love it! I had Mini-Dew and her friends assisting as my elves. I left there to head over to my dear friend's house to assist her in setting up for her daugter's wedding which was scheduled to take place there 5 hours later. I put out around 200 luminary bags and hung the bells and bows. As if that wasn't enough, I left there to take tea to the reception spot, pick up my terrific gtb and head to the parade, which we both marched in. Ouch, my aching feet. After that, we rented "Get Smart" and ate a wonderfully yummy omelette that gtb threw together, and I fell asleep within the first 10 minutes of the movie (no surprise there!) I was enjoying it, just totally beat! After church and grocery shopping yesterday, my wonderful gtb sat and watched the rest before leaving for his dear son's Christmas concert. He and his group did a terrific job, but the pre-schoolers were absolutely adorable... and then they brought them back for a living nativity. SO CUTE!Have a wonderfully fabulous Monday!
