I know I keep saying this, but we seem to be dealing once again with the coldest temperatures of the season... our mercury dipped below the freezing mark this morning, and then, it kept dipping, combined with the wind offering wind chills in the mid 20's, with the slap-you-in-the-face kind of cold. YUCK! There is currently a low pressure system, just off the east coast, which is dropping buckets of SNOW (yes, I said said it, SNOW!) on the Carolinas, where a winter storm warning is supported by a 100% chance of... snow. Parts of north Georgia have seen some flurries over the past couple of nights, but it looks like most of Georgia has been spared in this very snowy event. In fact, it looks to be headed north into Virginia and possibly into Washington, D.C., where the already freezing cold inauguration of our next president, Barack Obama, will be taking place this afternoon. I hope the thousands who have turned up for that historic event have thought to bundle up!! Layers, layers, layers. Locally, looks like we will be dealing with Dewdropcicle weather for a few days...Anyone else really tired of this winter weather??? Look, even Orlando, FL is facing freeze warnings!!!!Try to stay warm!

I sure get a kick out of reading how you Southern folk hate the cold. ;) Stay active and you won't even notice! By no time you'll basking in the warmth of 70° sunshine.
ReplyDelete70° sounds marvelous!!! Really, I wasn't complaining about the cold to you, just to the people in Florida, who can appreciate my pain! lol
ReplyDelete... I'm sorry it's umm... really cold for you there! Hang in there! =)

Seems really backwards to get sympathy about the cold from you... lol. Thanks. :O)
ReplyDeleteI have friends in the south who keep asking me to send them some snow. I am glad you got it. It will pass.
ReplyDeleteWe have had -40C temperatures and there is three feet of snow on the fields. With a little wind it feels much colder and the snow drifts.
Great weather for snowshoeing and ice fishing. Sorry you miss out on these winter pleasures.
