the skies proclaim the work of his hands.

Nothing to see here...

We had a nice relaxing weekend. My wonderful groom's children had just arrived back from a mission trip to upstate New York, during the wee hours of Saturday morning, so when we picked them up, Saturday afternoon, they were still pooped. We decided to skip out on a trip to the cape for the scheduled launch, since they had ridden so much... (incidentally, the launch was scrubbed due to an electrical storm striking 11 times within .3 miles of the launch pad.) Instead, we hit the fruit stand for some homemade peach and blueberry ice cream... I had the blueberry... YUMMY! Then, we decided to surprise grandma, at their church's community outreach wet n' wild day. Unfortunately, this was over them... Fortunately, there was no thunder associated with this storm, so it was just pounding rain... which served to help with the wet part of the wet n' wild. Just an fyi, two years ago on the 11th, I was shooting lightning...Yesterday, we considered going for the rescheduled launch. There was a 70% chance of launch, and it is on my bucket list... but the kids still weren't interested in a 3 1/2 hour drive one way, and I wasn't sold on the odds, so we decided to just chill at the house and play a little Tarzan... well, that launch was scrubbed too. I am so glad we didn't make that trip.

As for today's weather... well, a slight risk dips down into the southeast, teasing us with thoughts that we might actually stand a chance at getting some interesting weather... ... they (the SPC) did, however, forecast the Dewvoid, and the severe weather is not expected here. TWC did mention severe in the weather on the 8's. I guess we shall see. I'm not holding my breath.

Have a fantastic day!
