The heavens declare the glory of God;
the skies proclaim the work of his hands.

So close....

We are soooo close to being included the designated slight risk area according to the storm prediction center. The National Weather Service has actually stated that there is a slight risk that some of our thunderstorms today will reach severe levels... spotter activation may be required later today. 80% POPS... Cold Front moving in... Know what that spells? Tornado weather... and I forgot to charge my camera batteries... figures, huh? I guess it's a wait and see game. The radar is impressive for this frontal line, but it looks like most of it will be breaking up before it gets to us (the curse of the storm chaser).

I forgot to charge my phone battery too, stupid Kyocera phone. I hate it! It won't hold a charge at all, even if I don't use it, which I hardly ever do. This is my second phone in 3 months, my 3rd battery in the same amount of time. Never, NEVER, purchase a plan from an authorized agent. Learn from my mistakes. It's a bad idea. Go straight to the retail store for whichever company you choose, and if you like to be treated like cattle and herded through, choose Alltel. I can't complain too much about my service, my reception is excellent, which is what I was after, but their customer service stinks!!!

Here's a pretty pic I took of the sky. I love sky shots... in case you couldn't tell.

Better run...

  1. IMPRESSIVE SHEAR PARAMETERS (12Z TAE
    0-3KM HELICITY VALUE OF 506 M2/S2) SUGGEST PRIMARY SEVERE THREAT FOR
    LOW-TOPPED SUPERCELLS PRODUCING ISOLATED SHORT-LIVED TORNADOES UNTIL
    EARLY AFTN WHEN MAIN DYNAMICS LIFT TO THE NORTH OF THE REGION.

  5. This just stinks... Sounds about right though. The curse of the chaser.

    GIVEN THE WEAK INSTABILITY (LACK OF
    INSOLATION)...LIMITED MOIST SECTOR AREA...AND SHEAR WEAKENING WITH
    TIME...THE SEVERE THREAT IS DIMINISHING BUT CANNOT RULE OUT A FEW
    STRONG TSTMS THIS AFTN.
