Louisiana getting hit hard

Well, looks like a slim chance of something... tomorrow. Figures. AT THIS TIME A WIDESPREAD SEVERE EVENT DOES NOT APPEAR LIKELY...ALTHOUGH A FEW OF THE STORMS ARE LIKELY TO BE ON THE STRONG SIDE. Right now, Louisiana is getting hit with a hefty squall, and it's headed for New Orleans, just what they need, right? They can't catch a break over that way. The lightning strikes are incredible, all over the system. I see one TVS, even, but it's over the Gulf, possibly a water spout out that way... You know, I have not ever seen a water spout. Something that's on my list of things to do though... As I was just writing, a tornado report came in in Acadia, LA. Damage to a residence was reported. I'm thinking that Louisiana is going to steal all our thunder, so to speak... because we're only supposed to get some rain and possibly some thunderstorms, but nothing severe. It is a slow moving system, so the chance for flooding, especially in New Orleans, where we know there is a problem, even though the army core of engineers has been working it... I think that picture I've seen of the drain in the middle of the city is a fabulous solution. There have already been some reports of flash floods further west today.

That's all I've got for today. Lots to do to get ready for our party tomorrow.

Bye bye,
