the skies proclaim the work of his hands.

How dare GRL3 be down while I'm under a slight risk...

GRL3 isn't updating correctly, so I had to temporarily configure the polling with opennoaaport streaming Nexrad out of Puerto Rico, or something crazy like that... I am thoroughly unimpressed. I get a pictures, but not any of the products... no storm data, nothing... Apparently, the problem is being worked, but when I opened it, I didn't have updates since January 29th, so it's been down for a little while. I hope they get it working soon. I paid good money for this product. I expect it to work when I want it...

My weather radio, not the cool one that I can program for my county (which didn't work on my brand new radio), but the cheap one that tells you every single watch, warning, advisory, forecast and raindrop in the entire CWA... TMI!!! I have it on alert, but the thing is going off every other minute... literally! This is not turning into a good storm watch for me. Can't chase it, can't watch it, can't spot it (no windows), can't listen to it (annoying)... errrr... As for what's going on:
AT THIS TIME THINK ANY SEVERE WEATHER LOOKS TO BE ISOLATED IN NATURE...BUT SHEAR PROFILES DO INDICATE THAT ANY SURFACE BASED STORMS THAT GET GOING IN THE WARM SECTOR WILL HAVE THE POTENTIAL TO PRODUCE DAMAGING WINDS AND ISOLATED TORNADOES... A TORNADO THREAT WILL ALSO EXIST WITH ANY STORMS MOVING ENE ALONG NEARLY STATIONARY WARM FRONT INTO THE FL PANHANDLE/NW FL AND POSSIBLY FAR S GA.GIVEN 60+ KT DEEP WSWLY SHEAR AND INCREASING MOISTURE INFLOW... POTENTIAL WILL EXIST FOR A FEW SUSTAINED STORMS/SUPERCELLS. Can you hear it the way I hear it? "SUPERCELL!" You have to say it with some flair, sort of like, "SUPERSTAR!" ...as you know, Supercells may produce tornadoes. Newsflash, film at 11. lol (you had to read that forecast discussion to get that one). Stay tuned, we'll see what happens. Someone out of Orlando has told me that their GRL3 is working properly, so apparently, there are just a select few who are getting nothing. More than likely a night event, all settled by morning. It is very overcast, so no pretty storm structure to photograph, it's a HP system, so typical. sigh...

With regard to Saturday:
AS WAS MENTIONED LAST NIGHT THIS IS A RATHER COOL AIRMASS TRYING TO COME IN SATURDAY NIGHT AND A FEW FLAKES OF SNOW OR A FEW ICE PELLETS CAN NOT BE RULED OUT OVER PORTIONS OF THE AREAS SAT NIGHT... There they go talking about the cold white stuff again. I'm not counting those chickens.

Anyway, lots going on. Lots to try to watch. Any chasers out there actually getting the chance to chase, be careful. Anyone playing arm chair chaser (bed chaser), hang in there, there will be others, and this one isn't looking all that impressive to me, anyway.

Ciao,

  2. Tornado watch coming to a street near you soon. Increasing favorable winds and setup for severe storms in your area over the next few hours.

  3. Thanks Jeff. It just posted. We are under the tornado watch, barely... but nonetheless...

Hope recovery continues to go well for you.
