AREAS AFFECTED...EASTERN GA/SOUTHERN SC AND MUCH OF NORTHERN/CENTRAL FL
CONCERNING...SEVERE POTENTIAL...WATCH LIKELY
VALID 012059Z - 012300Z
A TORNADO WATCH MAY BE ISSUED WITHIN THE HOUR ACROSS EASTERN GA...MUCH OF NORTHERN/CENTRAL FL...AND POSSIBLY SOUTHERN SC.
LONG-LIVED SUPERCELLS WITH TORNADIC HISTORY CONTINUE TO QUICKLY SPREAD EASTWARD ACROSS SOUTHWEST GA AS OF 21Z. WITH THIS THREAT EVENTUALLY EXPECTED TO MOVE INTO EASTERN GA EARLY THIS EVENING...AND THE POSSIBILITY OF ADDITIONAL DEVELOPMENT ALONG THE FL SEA BREEZE AND OTHER CONVERGENT BOUNDARIES...A TORNADO WATCH WILL LIKELY BE
ISSUED SOON. SPECIAL 18Z OBSERVED RAOBS FROM ACROSS GA AND NORTHERN/CENTRAL FL SUGGEST THE AIRMASS IS ALREADY WEAKLY CAPPED ACROSS THIS CORRIDOR. INCREASINGLY STRONG LOW TO MID LEVEL WINDS AND A HIGH HELICITY ENVIRONMENT...ESPECIALLY FROM FAR NORTHERN FL INTO SOUTHERN SC...WILL FAVOR THE POSSIBILITY FOR TORNADIC SUPERCELLS.
