The heavens declare the glory of God;
the skies proclaim the work of his hands.

Nothing says good morning like a bow echo and a warning...

ORGANIZED AND LONG-LIVED BOW ECHO NEAR HOU WILL CONTINUE MOVING EASTWARD THIS MORNING INTO SOUTHWEST LA. WEAKENING VERTICAL SHEAR PROFILES MAY HELP TO LESSEN INTENSITY OF MCS MY MID MORNING. HOWEVER...UNTIL THEN POTENTIAL WILL REMAIN FOR HAIL AND DAMAGING WINDS ALONG LEADING EDGE OF BOW. Already, there have been several reports of tornadoes in Lavaca County, Texas, with injuries. Yesterday ended up a busy day with many storm reports, but still nothing compared to the mayhem of March 28th.

Today is the day for spotter class. In the interest of space and comfort, I changed the location to the nearby County Commissioners' Building, but that won't pose a problem. I have made signs and so forth. I am anxious to see what kind of turn out there will be. The word is out everywhere. Even hubby is considering stopping in briefly, just to check things out and squelch his curiosity. Doesn't he know that curiosity killed the cat? Anyway, I made it very clear to him that he is not invited to join my chase team. He lacks essential qualities... 1. Passion for weather... 2. PATIENCE... Besides that, he just doesn't get it.

Local weather, well, on first glance, cloudy, dreary and a little cool. I didn't even check the weather station on the way by... it's been too boring lately... Here's what the guys are saying:
AFTER A WARM...QUIET...AND DRY DAY TODAY... OUR RAIN CHANCES WILL INCREASE SOMEWHAT TONIGHT AND SUNDAY AS SOME Q-G FORCING INTERACTS WITH THE DEEP LAYER MOISTURE IN OUR AREA. THE BEST CHANCE FOR RAIN WILL BE IN OUR SOUTHEAST AL AND SOUTHWEST GA ZONES That's not me... WHERE THE Q-G FORCING WILL BE A LITTLE BETTER. THIS SYSTEM WILL STALL AND DISSIPATE MONDAY...WITH JUST SLIGHT POPS. WITH THE WEAK FORCING AND CLIMATOLOGY WORKING AGAINST IT...WE DO NOT EXPECT THIS SYSTEM TO BE A BIG DROUGHT BUSTER AS RAINFALL AMOUNTS WILL GENERALLY BE LESS THAN A QUARTER OF AN INCH IN THE AREAS FORTUNATE ENOUGH TO GET RAIN. Why didn't I think of it before? That's who we need to call... DROUGHT BUSTERS! When you've got no rain and it don't look good, who you gonna call? Drought Busters! A long lasting ridge in the neighborhood... who can you call? Drought Busters! Sorry, I'll stop now. Looking further ahead... WE WILL HAVE ANOTHER CHANCE OF RAIN TUESDAY NIGHT AND WEDNESDAY AS A COLD FRONT MOVES THROUGH OUR AREA... FOLLOWED BY A RETURN TO MORE TYPICAL EARLY SPRING WEATHER. IN FACT... NIGHTTIME LOWS WILL DROP BELOW AVERAGE THURSDAY THROUGH SATURDAY. ANOTHER SHOT OF COLD AIR (RELATIVELY SPEAKING) WILL MOVE INTO OUR AREA FRIDAY...PRECEDED BY CLOUDS AND
A CHANCE OF RAIN. Alrighty then, well written, easy to understand. Love the drought busters bit... but I guess you could tell that. Thanks, Jeff. Another cool AFD.

That's it for me. I need to get Mini-Dew ready for practice. I have to get myself ready for spotter training. I've got a full day ahead.

Toodles,
~Dewdrop
