Dean is a Category 4!!

DATA FROM THE AIR FORCE RESERVE HURRICANE HUNTER AIRCRAFT CURRENTLY INVESTIGATING HURRICANE DEAN INDICATE THAT MAXIMUM SUSTAINED WINDS HAVE INCREASED TO 145 MPH...CATEGORY FOUR ON THE SAFFIR-SIMPSON HURRICANE SCALE.

Hurricane Dean is presenting beautifully on satellite tonight, offering a solid eye. With winds at 145, pressure at 946mb and a beautiful structure, Dean is packing quite a punch.

Here, I hear rumbles of thunder and see that we have the storms from north GA approaching here. Lots of wind damage reports out of today's storms, and I am now hearing it picking up here and it looks like it has lost its umph on radar, so I am not going anywhere. Doggone Dewvoid... can already hear the thunder subsiding. I am going to sit here and wait for the 11PM update.

...CATEGORY FOUR DEAN INTENSIFYING OVER THE EASTERN CARIBBEAN...SOME ADDITIONAL STRENGTHENING IS FORECAST DURING THE NEXT 24 HOURS.

Hurricane Dean now has a minimum pressure of 937mb!!! This is insane!!!
