What a beautiful sky I was greeted with as I drove into my neighborhood yesterday evening, nice streaming cirrus clouds, with a waft of colors sprinkled about and a few contrails splattered across the sky. It was fabulous, and what a wonderful welcome home. I had every intention of going home and mowing my lawn, after Mini-Dew's school charged me an outrageous price to purchase my child's art work... is that not a scam?! Sadly, when I arrived there, I quickly discovered that my yard was (once again) covered in mushrooms!! Didn't I JUST pull those nasty things?! Anyway, by the time I was finished picking all the ridiculous fungus, I had run out of time and desire to mow the lawn, so I ate a quick meal. I am sort of behind on household chores. I need to get back on track. I will.
I am pleased to announce that my handheld weather radio arrived yesterday, and yes, I have already loaded it with mine and surrounding county SAME codes. I left it at home to charge today, since weather doesn't appear to be too much of a concern. I say that, but watching TWC today, I noticed POPS at 30%. What?! What happened to all the dry air advection, sucking away the moisture? It appears that the NWS-Tallahassee site is down, so I can't look too closely at their opinion, but it looks like chance POPS, though mostly to my north and east. The wording is definitely ambiguous. May be a small window, deep moisture limited, may be able to interact... but it COULD happen: THERE MAY BE A SMALL WINDOW OF OPPORTUNITY FOR SHOWERS/WEAK THUNDERSTORMS TO DEVELOP THIS AFTERNOON. MODEL RH/OMEGA CROSS SECTIONS INDICATE A BRIEF INCREASE IN MOISTURE AND LIFT AROUND 18Z...WHEN THE FRONTAL BOUNDARY MAY BE ABLE TO INTERACT WITH THE SEA BREEZE DURING BEST DAYTIME HEATING AND INSTABILITY. HOWEVER...DEEP MOISTURE IS ALREADY LIMITED AND MUCH DRIER AIR AND SUBSIDENCE WILL FOLLOW QUICKLY BEHIND THE FRONT.
Invest 94L has moved over land, and is likely to stay there for a little while, meaning that it is not going to do anything soon. Now, if it were over Oklahoma, I might change my story, since Oklahoma seems to generate tropical storms... lol. Otherwise, it looks to me the hurricane season, for us, is just about over. Sorry, Jeff.
That's all for me.
Ciao,

Well, I was totally clueless on that one. Thanks for enlightening me. Did you have fun? Did you finally make it to the hospitality room?
ReplyDeleteYou have a tenacious group of fairies around your house! LOL! I can't believe they charge you for your own child's artwork! Didn't you CREATE the CREATOR? You should get a 100% discount for that!
ReplyDeleteVery tenacious fairies. Feel freee to stop by and take some for your own yard.
ReplyDeleteI agree, a discount would have been nice.
