Twister Sisters Sneak Peak...

A humongous thank you to Bill Doms for sending yet another Twister Sisters Sneak Peak (You have to click on the underlined link to see the promo). I am not in this one either, but Bill and his son, Cullen are, and Jess's voice is. Go Jess! Lucky dog got to see tornadoes during her chasecation!!! I, on the other hand, got the opportunity to prove the Dewvoid exists and is extremely powerful by killing both a moderate and a high risk, PDS. I'm just relieved to escape the crate that Texas Steve threatened... ;-) (Btw, the pic is my favorite sun dog shot that I took last Thanksgiving up near Atlanta.)

(The sunset shot is from last December.) The big story here is the cold weather. That cold front rolled on through, and once the wind died down, those temps hit the floor, quite literally... my tootsies were mini-dewdropcicles this morning, walking on my freezing cold tile floor. Time to start sleeping in socks again. The outside temperature reading this morning, when I checked it (around 6:30) was 31.5 degrees! There wasn't much frost on the grass because it was just barely freezing and the available moisture with this very dry cold air was almost nil (in fact, the entire CWA is under a red flag warning for fire weather conditions - relative humidity below 25%), so it wasn't even pretty and photographable, just doggone C O L D! It seems that on those mornings, the school bus arrives much later than on other days... That's not accurate, just the perception, as I sit and freeze to death. It's South Georgia, Ma Nature... cut my thinned out Yankee blood some slack, will ya please? The high today is a mere 60... I should have worn a turtle neck... and my fingers are dewdropcicles... where are my gloves? Fortunately, relief is forecast to arrive in the form of some slow warming... and the word is:

THE NEXT SIGNIFICANT WEATHER SYSTEM TO AFFECT THIS REGION IS FORECAST TO ARRIVE THANKSGIVING DAY. IT IS TOO EARLY TO TELL WHETHER OR NOT THERE WILL BE A SIGNIFICANT THREAT FOR SEVERE WEATHER WITH THIS SYSTEM.
So, let's see, what do I have to be thankful for???? A potential chasetunity on Thanksgiving Day?! Doesn't get much better than that!!!

TGIF!!!

  3. I can't help that I don't like the cold. Why do you think I migrated to Georgia in the first place?
