Well, a late update, but I'll be quick about it. Currently, the is a mess of storms passing through Arkansas, offering up some severe thunderstorm warnings. The storms are fast approaching Mississippi, so folks in that general area need to be watchfully vigilant of the weather conditions... keeping those weather radios handy, you know the ones I told y'all to go out and buy if you didn't already have one. I haven't had time, nor will I... to check and see who is out chasing or anything like that, but today it just looks like a hail and wind thing... The severe probabilities get interesting for tomorrow, where the SPC has outlined quite a substantial part of the plains for severe weather with the significant tornadic threat in the evening hours, mostly in the southern plains... then, severe likelihood continues into Thursday. Welcome to Spring...
During lunch, bf and I took a short excursion to a quaint little fishing hole he knew about to take advantage of this splendid weather we are having... no, it's not chaseable, but it sure is nice to get out in it. Here are some of the shots from that little impromptu excursion (Doggone blogger is acting up again... grr...)Then, there was the whole bit with bf chivalrously stopping the train by simply holding up his hand... lol. Just kidding, the train was just sitting there hanging out, and we were able to SAFELY stop on the tracks with the train right there. Pretty cool. Don't try this at home, folks. We are trained professionals. Just as an FYI... I decided not to share the possum road-kill even though the pic turned out pretty cool. It seemed it might gross many people out, and I am not setting out to do that.
If you've been checking for a post all day... sorry.
Have a fabulous night.

I love trains! I've actually been meaning to get out and do a photo series on trains. Hopefully I'll have a chance to hit up some of the amazing fishing holes we have here in Texas and Oklahoma now that I have a job.
ReplyDeleteDefinitely a good weather to spend a little time outside just like what you did... The pictures are always great! :) And oh, I thought the train is moving... Glad to know it is parked...
ReplyDeleteCheers!
Ken, they always fascinate me too. The older, the better. I was so amazed to see a graffiti-free train while I was in Missouri. It was such a rare thing, beautiful. Hope you can get out and shoot for pleasure. It would help build your portfolio.
ReplyDeleteIce, I love little photography excursions. They make life a little bit more pleasurable. Definitely not a moving train. lol. Cheers and welcome back.
Great post and great last picture
ReplyDeleteThanks, Tom. We thought it would make a funny shot. I wish I could take those excursions every day.
