The current tornado watch just missed me, but the action is headed this way and the moisture and shear are already here, additionally, we have had an afternoon of partly cloudy skies, with magnificent cumulus patches coming as an army of clouds, but allowing sufficient breaks in the clouds to allow for daytime heating to destabilize things. The environment is ripe, and it's headed this way.3 tornadoes with some scary information about people trapped in homes was reported in Alabama this morning, while I was in CPR training as a continuation of my CERT training.
I don't know what my plans are today.

Whenever you leave, you know what happens! Weather! Gusty winds, tornado warnings, etc. We got a call from the emergency management stating that all burn permits were canceled for today due to the high winds. I heard of a tornado up by Moody AFB. Something about a tornado on North Valdosta Rd. Can't confirm. You probably know more than I do.
ReplyDeleteIt's spring time, and when these monster cold blasts invade from the north they usually find barbarian tropical moisture at the gate. That's a lethal mixture.
ReplyDeleteYes, Teresa, I know all about the Dewvoid. The photos I posted today are suspiciously like a tornado there taken at exit 22... I am not positive though. There certainly was a tornado warning for a spotted funnel.
ReplyDeleteRobert, You know that's right. Perfect combination for explosive severity.
