Well, my wonderful groom and I were watching TWC Friday night and were impressed at the tornado that Vortex2 caught start to finish. It was really a spectacularly photographic one to catch, small to wedge to rain wrapped to rope, beginning to end, even got to see INSIDE the cone at a point. Really spectacular!! Great catch, guys! It's about doggone time.
Back home, while we were coming home from seeing Star Trek (which was much better than I expected - I really enjoyed the little spin on it), we saw a most beautiful display in the sky. It started off to our west, layers of so many typed of clouds, all catching the light in different ways, the depth, texture and color were amazing, everything from deep dark grey to a magnificent gold. We knew that the sunset would be amazing. As we turned, there was a spectacular and brilliant rainbow, stretching from our horizon to the north and arching over to a beautifully lit cumulus, full of rich darkness must masterfully lit by the departing sun. Being in the jeep, I didn't carry my camera to the movie, so the best I've got is phone shots. My next camera phone will have to be a little a lot better...
Then, we pulled over in a great open spot at my wonderful groom's prompting, to watch a truly amazing sunset, the color palette, must have changed 10 times, at one point offering the "sky on fire" appearance. I took no pics, we just sat together listening to frog song and enjoying the incredible show!
Happy Sunday!
