the skies proclaim the work of his hands.

Speaking of the Dewvoid...

Well, Carolina Mike and I have made a deal (we even shook on it) that if he can show me lightning, hail or a tornado (all 3 would be fine), I will not refer to the Dewvoid anymore. Sounds like a fair deal. We'll see what happens. He should be moving down in about 3 weeks, and we will begin actively chasing... if there is anything left after the Dewvoid takes care of it all (better get those in while I can). I rather look forward to him DISPROVING the Dewvoid, if such a thing is even possible.

Looking at the tropics, we still have Invest 94L, which is currently hugging the Yucatan Peninsula. It still looks like this low could develop into a tropical depression before moving into the eastern Yucatan... at least they have had some time to recover since Hurricane Dean slammed into that area... but, that's all that's out there.

Local weather... nothing. Big story is the approaching cold front... It's fixin' to get cold in these parts. I am ready for that secondary severe weather season... any day now... yep, standing by... doggone la nina... This is another pic that way taken a while back, but I like it. I hope to have an opportunity soon to get some great pics. We'll see what happens.

Have a lovely day,
~Dewdrop

  1. La Nina!!!! That's my problem! Another day of no clouds here, 30% chance of POPS tonight, tomorrow then 14 days of nothing in the forecast. My yard is so sad looking, the dog just lays in the dirt and stares at me :P

Things are so dry there won't even be any pretty fall colors, just dead leaves falling all over the place.

  2. We have some fair weather CU... it is thickening some, so I might get some isolated something-something but I am not expecting that. Sorry about your dirt yard... poor dog.

Leaves everywhere... sigh... that reminds me, have I blogged about using my blower to create the right shear environment for dust devils...? It's a personal challenge for me. Severe SDS...

  5. It was funny when I realized I could do that. It became my personal mission to make them as large as possible...

I know... now, we just have to prepare Carolina Mike for the bad news. I told you you were imagining things... See team blog.
