Beautiful Springlike Weather... in December

OK, yes, beautiful weather, and no, I still don't have my Christmas decorations up outside... Perhaps today, and then I will take pics of it to post... I am leaning toward just skipping it this year because it is such a hassle, but Mini-Dew would have a caniption. (btw, I took the pic back in October)

Speaking of this gorgeous weather, looks like it has grown roots in this area. That ridge has settled over us nicely, providing these unseasonably warm temps, warding off all possibly cold fronts... One comes close on Friday's models, but the ridge is strong, and it looks like a couple of lows could form from that, which means that Friday through Sunday (perfect chase days) chance POPS have entered the forecast. I will keep you updated. Should have a few days of approaching record temps in the area. Merry Christmas.

I am going to start my day...

Happy Sunday,

  1. No cold fronts? I'll trade you. We are not even in a polar or arctic air mass right now but the resident airmass is giving up overnight lows of -5 to -15 without much effort just due to radiational cooling. C'mon cloud...

Have a good Sunday...back to working on the backyard ice slide again.

  2. Bill, you don't want to trade me. You get REAL weather up in your neck of the woods. Sure, you have to suffer through ridiculously cold temps, but look at your severe wx ops. -5 to -15... great googaly moogaly... did I give the impression that I am interested in cold weather? No way, Jose!

    Enjoy your slide... lol.
